During a class presentation last year, my computer suddenly failed to display my slides. At first, I wanted to stop, but I took a breath and explained my main points from my note cards. My partner then restarted the computer, and we finished the presentation together. The experience taught me that preparation should include more than repeated practice. Performers can memorize key sections, prepare backup materials, and agree on simple signals with their partners. A small mistake does not have to ruin a performance if people stay flexible and continue with purpose.
