In the two pictures, a school is holding a disaster drill. In Picture A, the alarm has just gone off, but some students do not take it seriously. A few are still talking, and the line outside the classroom is not orderly. Their teacher looks worried because such behavior may put everyone in danger. In Picture B, the same class follows the teacher's instructions. The students protect their heads, move quickly but calmly to the playground, and wait while the teacher checks the number of students. I believe disaster drills are important because they teach us what to do before a real emergency happens. Taiwan sometimes faces earthquakes, typhoons, and fires, so students should not treat safety training as a game. When we know the evacuation routes and practice them regularly, we are less likely to panic. In my school, we have earthquake drills every semester. At first, some students thought they were boring, but after a strong earthquake shook our classroom one day, many of us understood why practice mattered. To make drills more useful, students should listen carefully, follow directions, and remind classmates who are careless. They can also ask questions afterward so that the next drill will be clearer and more realistic for everyone. A few minutes of serious practice may save lives when danger really comes.
