The two pictures show two sides of food delivery culture. In Picture A, a smiling customer is receiving an order at his door from a delivery worker. Several food boxes, cups, and bags have arrived together, allowing him to enjoy a hot meal without cooking or going outside. In Picture B, however, a trash can is overflowing with used containers, paper bags, drink cups, and disposable utensils. Although delivery platforms make ordering meals convenient, one order can leave behind a surprising amount of waste. The contrast shows that the comfort of delivered food may carry an environmental cost that customers do not immediately see. I use delivery services when my family is busy or when heavy rain makes shopping difficult, so I understand their value. Still, convenience should not excuse unnecessary packaging. Customers can choose restaurants that use simpler containers, refuse disposable utensils, and combine several items in one order. Platforms could add a clear “no utensils” option and reward customers who select reusable or low-waste packaging. Restaurants, meanwhile, should avoid placing every small dish in a separate plastic box. If I can walk to a nearby restaurant, I usually bring my own container and pick up the food myself. Food delivery does not have to disappear; with better choices from customers, restaurants, and platforms, it can become less wasteful.
先用 two sides of food delivery culture 點出兩張圖呈現同一現象的不同面向。
將便利與代價放在同一句中,並以 an environmental cost that customers do not immediately see 收束第一段。
overflow with、disposable utensils、unnecessary packaging waste 在本題通常是不可數名詞,寫 a large amount of waste,不要寫 many wastes。 Delivery is convenient./We should not value convenience above everything else.refuse disposable utensils,會比只寫 protect the environment 更有說服力。
